UIT DE MODE
Our Quirky Cruise is now on show in the exhibition Uit de Mode in Centraal Museum Utrecht. In respons to our show at Amsterdam Fashion Week this summer, the museum aquired three of our pieces. Yet, the whole collection will be on show. Don’t miss it!
12 September—23 October 2017
Centraal Museum opens a new fashion exhibition. For the first time, more than 100 highlights from their own fashion collection are in the spotlights. Visitors are immersed in a world of 18th century robes, generous mutton sleeves and experimental men’s suits of today. Who makes the design and who wears it? How are these special designs preserved and when has a design ‘deceased’?
The Centraal Museum owns a well-balanced fashion collection of approximately 10,000 items of clothing, including accessories. The collection is considered one of the most important for both historical costumes and contemporary fashion in the Netherlands. We are very excited to be shown among so many talented designers such as Iris van Herpen, Maison Martin Margiela, Vivienne Westwood, Jan Taminiau, Issey Miyake, Viktor&Rolf, Craig Green and Junya Watanabe. The exhibition is designed by our our friends Joris and Tessa from Maison The Faux.
